Kea - Felted Wool Bird

Known for its curious ways and bold mountain spirit, the kea is admired for its intelligence, resilience, and adventurous nature, a true mountain parrot of Aotearoa ready to bring a touch of alpine mischief to little imaginations.

Our handcrafted wool kea reflects this unique alpine bird. Earthy olive brown feathers, gentle flashes of teal, mossy green, and brilliant orange beneath the wings, are paired with a softly curved beak made exploring high country landscapes.

Part of our Aotearoa – Land of Little Wonders collection, the kea invites tamariki to discover the magic of our native wildlife through open-ended play and gentle curiosity.
